Applying the principles of Sustainable Tourism, UJAMAAis in the early development stages of working with Black Masking Indians, Social Aid & Pleasure Clubs, and other traditional cultural artists in the establishment of the New Orleans Culture bearers Cooperative. We are working to ensure that the creators and innovators of New Orleans’ unique, world-renown culture, which provides the bedrock of the City’s $10B tourism industry, are finally able to reap the economic benefits of the culture they create.
